Why There Are No Discount Codes Anymore

Why There Are No Discount Codes Anymore

(And Why That’s on Purpose)

Let’s just say the quiet part out loud.

I got rid of discount codes so I could give more, not take more.

Instead of chasing sales gimmicks, I decided to redirect that energy (and money) toward people and causes that actually need it. So now, 30% of proceeds from this shop are donated—every single time—to organizations doing real, on-the-ground work in Ohio and beyond.

That means I’m not padding my pockets.
That means this isn’t a “marketing angle.”
That means I’m choosing values over optimization.

And yes—I’m keeping prices as affordable as I possibly can while doing this. This shop was never meant to be a cash grab. It was meant to be a creative, ethical, slightly unhinged act of care.

Where the Money Goes (And Why It Matters)

🖤 Journey Center for Safety and Healing

This organization supports survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse—not just in theory, but in real, practical, life-saving ways. Housing support. Safety planning. Advocacy. Healing.

This is about people being able to leave and live.

If you’ve ever wondered why someone “doesn’t just leave,” this is the kind of organization that answers that question with compassion instead of judgment.

🌎 Ohio Immigration Alliance

Immigration policy isn’t abstract. It affects families, workers, kids in classrooms, and people just trying to exist without fear.

Ohio Immigration Alliance works to protect immigrant rights, fight harmful legislation, and support inclusive policies across the state. Their work is about dignity, safety, and fairness—full stop.

Human beings deserve stability and protection, not cruelty wrapped in bureaucracy.

Ohio Citizen Action Education Fund

Transparency moment: I work with Ohio Citizen Action.
Also truth moment: I believe deeply in this work.

This fund supports education, organizing, and advocacy around issues like environmental protection, democracy, and corporate accountability. It’s about giving regular people the tools to understand what’s happening in their communities—and the power to push back when something isn’t right.

I wouldn’t put my energy—or your money—behind it if I didn’t believe it mattered.

So What Does This Mean for You?

It means:

  • No codes.

  • No fake urgency.

  • No “act now before the sale ends” nonsense.

It means when you buy something here, you’re getting something you like AND helping someone else survive, stay safe, or have a voice.

It means this shop is exactly what it looks like:
A little feral.
Very intentional.
Run by a real human who gives a damn.

Thank you for being here. Truly.
That’s the magic. 🖤
